Please help me, I brought a Lexicon Lambda USB audio interface to work with my Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio 4XL. I don't like cubase because its not user friendly to me and all my music is done in Sonar, I eliminated the mackie mixer and I want use the Lexicon instead.

My set up is as follows:

1. Compaq Prescrio SR-2100 PC

2. Art Tube MP mic preamp

3. Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio 4XL

4. AKG Perception 200 condenser mic

5. Roland Monitors

6. Lexicon Lambda USB audio interface

7. Mackie DFX6 Mixer- replacing with audio interface

8. Behringer Headphone amp

With this setup w/o the audio interface. I record hiphop,r&b and pop music and I can't get any vocals through the mic I'am getting alot of noises and humming sound. I went through the set up for computer drivers for sound playback is ok but input is not.

I welcome any advice thanks!!!!

Humming sounds means you have a grounding issue in the signal chain. Check your cables/connections and keep them away from power cables.

If you're using onboard audio when you say "w/o the audio interface", then of course you're going to have an issue there as well. Onboard audio cards were designed for games and watching DVDs, not recording audio.
