Cable question about shure sm58 to mobilepre usb

Hi, I recently bought the Shure SM58 mic along with the M-Audio MobilePre USB. The Shure SM58 mic has an xlr output, and the MobilePre USB has two xlr inputs. I am going to purchase a cable to connect the mic to the pre, but I was wondering if I should (or have to) buy the cable (C25E) that Shure sells on their website for the mic. Would I be fine with just buying a general xlr to xlr cable? Thanks in advance.
 
You'll be fine using any old XLR-XLR cable, Shure's are no doubt overpriced and you would be much better just buying a decent cable from your local music store. Good luck, have fun.
