C1 vs AT3035

None of the music stores in my area carry Studio Projects mics, so I haven't had a chance to try the C1.

A few weeks ago I was deciding between th C1 and the AT3035, and the local shops DID carry the AT3035. I tried it and liked it alot, so I bought.

But since I never tried the C1, I'm curious to know how they compare. How are they different? how are they similar?

the at3035 isn't so hot on the top end. it'll work with more voices. however, they are about the same in terms of sonic quality. i own a c1 and don't plan on getting an at3035. if i owned an at3035, then i wouldn't be jonesing for a c1.

I think you made the better purchase-

you've got more flexibility on a different span of voices, and the AT is useful for a variety of instruments without adding high-end goo making your tracks tough to mix

Hmm .. interesting. The AT3035 seems fairly bright to me ... I don't think I would want anything brighter than that, which makes me think I made the right decision.
