Bulk Balanced cable

I didnt know where to put this question. This seemed like as good a place as any.

Can someone hip me to where I could find decent bulk mic cable and XLR (male and female) so that I my cut and solder the cables to fit my demented needs?

Get Mogami cable. Couldn't really direct you to a site, 'cause I buy it in bulk locally. just do a search. I spent some time a while ago measuring the capacitance of different cables like mogami, canare, even monster. Mogami wins. You can make your own Mogami cables for cheaper than buying the ubiquitous monster cable. Of course you have to have the free time to solder. Years ago when we started putting together our studio Nubs had a fun-filled action packed soldering party. If you hold such an event I suggest not serving drinks until a bit of work is done, otherwise not much will get done and you'll have to throw a "fun-filled action packed soldering party II, the sequel" like nubs did. Newbies will discover down the road that one of the hardest parts of being an engineer is soldering up a tt patch bay and making multiple, different kick ass headphone mixes. I show up hours early just to work on headphone mixes.

Nubs, was I invited to you soldering party?.......NOoooooooo, was it becuase I would have accidently stabbed myself in the face w/ the soldering iron and then cried like a baby human? maybe.
