I am building a couple of guitars and I ended up with a strange combination, a black perloid pick guard on a Strat sunburst body.

What are your opinions on this combination?

yuck.

but what difference does it make what i think.......

question is:

do YOU like it?!!

:D

I really don't. I was hoping someone would convince me otherwise. This pick guard was bought for a black body, but it's cavity did not line up with the humbucker in the neck position, so I put it on the sunburst one instead. I think I will get another white perloid pickguard.

Just wanted to say that I've made a lot of things - I like making things - and although I'm only averagely stupid it's only on about the 4th making of a particular thing that I start to get it right.

The only possible reason for making guitars is that you deeply enjoy the process (I really like people who do) and are happy to carry on doing it until you get the results you want.

This post is entirely unhelpful to your specific question but I wanted to say please carry on making.

Where's nurse?

Update

I went ahead and ordered another black perloid with a H/S/S configuration for my black guitar. I'll post a picks of my collection once I get them put back together.
