BR8 to Mac Mini...Im completely Lost

All Im trying to do is extract previously recorded material on the BR8 and ship it off to the computer.
It was all recorded with traditional instruments (mic'ed guitars, drums, etc). My question is that when I hit "play", will any signal come out of the midi out on the BR8 if it wasnt true midi recorded information.
Will I have to use the other outputs (RCA out, dig audio out) instead? If so, does anyone know of who makes a RCA to USB cable since the input on the computer is USB.

MIDI doesn't transmit audio, MIDI only issues commands. The BR-8 has digital optical-out. This company has digital audio converters http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/audio_toslink_adapters.html#adv-2000, or you can just use the RCA analog-outs to your computer's soundcard line-in (do mini-macs have line-in?).

Nope, the Mac Mini is still missing audio in. Recorded real instruments will not send anything via MIDI.

I don't know of a cable, so I think you'll need a converter/interface like the M-audio Mobile Pre USB.
