My first attempt converting a two track song recorded on my br-8 to a WAV file resulted in the guitar being panned all left and the vocals panned right. I also don't think the effects survived the conversion. Any suggestioins?

need more details though ...

First attempts are always frustrating! ;)

Actually I need more details in order to answer your question. Details like: Do you have the guitar recorded on, say, track 1, and the vocals, say, on track 2? You save the file and then go to the converting software and convert them to 1 track?

I also don't think the effects survived the conversion. Any suggestioins?

If you want to have your effects converted, the best way to do so is to do a bounce on your BR-8. That is: if you want stereo, bounce your tracks onto 2 tracks (say, 7 and 8) with all the desired effects on. Then tracks 7 and 8 will be your song with the effects.

Keep recording!!! Cheers! :)

If the guitars are on one channel and the vox is on the other, the conversion program will read them as stereo channels (1&2, 3&4, etc) and pan them accordingly upon conversion, expecially if you convert them as grouped channels. Try converting one track at a time, then importing them individually into your wave editor, or other PC based recording app.
