Hi everyone...

Thought I might post a link to my IUMA page...would appreciate all feedback and comments, both positive and negative. There are three songs: "It's Fall" is a "kids" song, with vocals by my wife and daughter. "Love In My Life" features my friend Jim Vogt on mandolin. The other track, "We Can't Go On Like This," is all me, and was recently included on the VSPlanet "Compilation III" disk.

All vocals were done with the infamous C1.

Thanks...BobO

Hi BobO.

I listened to "We can't go on like this" yesterday, but I didn't have a chance to comment.

99 cent double-cheeseburgers called me away.

I liked it, it had a nice traditional sound. I.E. Paul Simon, John Denver.

The guitar sound could have been a little bigger. What did you use to record it? Was it in stereo?

The vocal harmonies at the chorus were nice. The C-1 sounds like a good compliment to your voice.

Thanks for listening, Jett. It's funny you should mention the guitar not being "big" enough...I had actually recorded two guitars for the first verse, panned hard left and hard right. But during mixing, I noticed that there were one or two extraneous noises on one of the tracks...unwanted crap, like my pick hitting the guitar. I decided to put the volume way down on that track, becuase I just didn't have the time or desire to go back and do it again. To compensate, I panned the "good" guitar track more toward the center. So you're right, the guitar IS thin!

I used the C1 to record the acoustics. I thought it would be the best choice among my mics, the other to being an SM57 and an SM58.

Thanks again! BobO.
