ah, drummers. the only people who can accurately write what their instrument sounds like.

we have a joke in the wind band i play in, that theres a difference between percussionists (who are 'instrumentalists') and the drummer (who's just a drummer :p). we always tease him, telling him "wow, that was a nice melody you played there, Tim" and "i bet you we're Well confused when you first saw a piano. i bet you got some sticks out and started smacking it!"

sadly, this thread isn't helping to change this image ... :D :p

(and i'm a trombonist. even a trombonist feels the right to take the piss... :D :p )
