What books would your recomend

Cost doesn't matter, and how many books you recomend doesn't matter either

On much of the contstruction and design side, I'd look for titles by F. Alton Everest. Excellent stuff that you don't need to have a PhD to understand.

I need to know how to build one, how much space should I use and how to build a mic booth

I'm taking a few classes at my school at right now we're studying "Modern Recording Techniques" for a huge introduction into it all, "Sound Reinforcement Handbook" for my live sound class, and some Berkley Pro Tools book for my Pro Tools class. I bought them all at Sweetwater. None of them go far into the construction and all of a studio as to building one but do give insight as to what you need. hope that helps
