Blithe - looking for mixing and mastering tips

This seems like a friendly forum, so I thought I would ask for some tips and tricks.
I'm interested in everything you got, so be critical! <3
Specifically I'm having difficulties with the volume level, and the eq feeling a bit over the place.

Alternately, to save time, just adjust the relative levels of the two vocals that overlap starting about 0.40, so that one's quieter and the other one's louder. I really like the loud vocal the way it is now (well, you could bring it down 1 dB, but really...), so that means bringing the background vocal up significantly. You shy of it or something?
 
Listening on sound isolating cans the mix sounds good to me.
The panning bugs me, but it always does.
I like those sounds that sound like sailboat ropes groaning.
