I'm primarily a guitarist, and have had plenty of blisters and rawness from guitar back at the beginning.....I haven't had any for quite some time though, so I would think you would get callouses if you play consistently....ALSO, I play drums for church and when bands need a fill in (I'm a fine steady drummer, just not as accomplished as guitar....and I enjoy guitar more) and I have never had a problem with blisters as far as drums go....I think one time i got a tiny raw spot, but that was nothing....I also was taught to hold sticks loosely....AND LASTLY the super glue thing is great. I recently got a big slice right where the finger hits the guitar string so I definitely super glued it up, and then got the sticky clear smooth plastic part of a bandaid and put it over it ( I tore the end off, the smooth plastic slides alot better than the pad part of a bandaid)....My dad is a doctor and he says super glue is pretty similar to the liquid stitching stuff they use at the office.....OK, I think that's all I had to add.....later
