I've got CD Architect by Sony, and when you click on a wav file it tells you if it's 16, 24 or 32 bit float, and it tells you what the sample rate is too. So really, I'm set. But a lot of times you get files that nobody knows the bit depth or sample rate. Is there other software than CD Architect that detects these, just out of curiosity?

Just about any DAW or media player will give this information. I just tried it with VLC, Winamp and Reaper.

Windows Explorer or Mac Finder will give you enough info to tell.
