Hey Flame--

I am a new owner of a firepod-- and when I go to Devices-->VST Inputs, I only see two inputs available to select. How do I get it to see the other inputs? DId you have this problem when you first started?

Thanks

Have you tried making the window bigger? Default view is often only the first two channels.

If you're only seeing 2 in the full view, you probably need to switch the driver in VST Multitrack.

I can guarentee you sound going into the computer will sound the same no matter what program receives it and writes it to disk

Your right in that respect that a recorded audio file will sound the same on any DAW program, but that is not what he is talking about. He is talking about the summing and mix engines which affect the sound after recording it.

I also own a fire pod and I am looing to bu a surface controller. I will either get Steinbergs HOUSTON or Tascam FW-1082. I se Sonar 4 for recording... any ideas or advice?? I have Cubase Le but I have not installed it. I know HOUSTON DOES NOT work with Sonar, but the main question... Which software is better? I have Sonar 4 Producers and Cubase LE 1.9 . I am a begginner recording, but I'd like to learn a software that is STANDARD and many people (majority USE.) PLease reply here or send me an email mlinero@tampabay.rr.com I have to make up my mind in 2 days!!!
THANK YOU!
