I'm gettin into fruityloops and I know I'm gonna need more than the included sounds so I was lookin at some plugins...Kontakt, Battery, Absynth...which ones the best for the money or is there a better one.

Go to KVR Audio.

You want plugins? They've got plugins!

Big ones! Little ones!

Expensive ones! Cheap ones! Free ones!

Do a search (after you register) for Triangle II, MiniMougue, Superwave8, Synth 1, KarmaFX, Motion, Rez 2.0, ProtoPlasm Free, String Theory 1.5 --- and those are just the free ones that I use all the time.

As far as VST fx go, the Kjaerhus classic series will take you a long way as will Luxionix LFX-1310, and they're free as well.

I can PERSONALLY attest that all of the above work very well in FL 6. My advice --- see how far you can get without spending any money!

I will definitely do that. Thanks for listing all those sounds and plugins. I'll definitely look into them when I get home from work. I just came from guitar center shopping for a midi controller and ended up getting the EMU Xboard 61 for 250 and it comes with the full version of proteus x so that should give me some more sounds to play with (3GB it says on the box) while I learn to make beats.

Thank you. These are great.... :D

Battery is an EXCELLENT program. I love programing drums with it but you can also use it for soundfonts and other sound formats. It's a must buy!

Before I get battery I think i might want to get a drum pad controller like the MPD16 first, i already have the emu xboard 61. Im not liking doing drums on the keyboard.
