I have been seen the Blue Bluebird, Rode nt1000, Rode nt2a and the audio technica at2050.The rode nt1000, it look like great for female voice, shrill voices, but when i hear the rode nt2a, he seems to be better at lower voices, male voices, and the other microphones, looks like have more bright, and they can't record so good compared with the rode nt2a or nt1000, the blue bluebird, look's like a very good mic, but don't have a warmer so big.

Conclusion:
The rode nt2a, look like it is a great mic to record male voices, for example, jack johnson, billy gibbons, etc, the rode nt1000, look like it is a very good mic to record female voices with an acute tone, for example, axl rose, paramore , etc.
Can anyone, somebody tell me if I'm wrong? and what is the best choice with 410$
Thanks!!

Sm-7!

the Shure SM-7 is Awesome! for vocals, guitar, bass, cant go wrong my man

Only $350...then youll have 50 bucks left over for few a cases of beer! :drunk:

but seriously i used it on vocals a few times and i think it sounds great

depending on what i am doing i will use it insted of a wunder cm7

If you don't have a treated room, an SM7b or EV RE-20 can go a long ways to make the best of a bad situation. Bluebird is supposedly good as are SM27 / 32 / 44 or AT 2020 / 3035 / 4040 / 4050 as are so many others. Depending on if you just want to get by for a specific purpose, or want that special for all occasions mic. So many good mics and respectable samples of them in use out there. Without a decent back end, you'll likely miss the point on a lot of them, but still. No reason not to strive for better when mother fortune shines your way.

The Shure sm7b is good for what i want? :s
Thanks for all replys!

I will have a cool room to record, a studio booth, and i will buy a compressor in the future.. so the sound of mic will be more better

anyone have anything good to say about the Studio Projects C1?

how about the Studio Projects C4's?

how does a C1 compare to a C3?

sorry to highjack but i'm also looking for a good vocal condenser mic and a set of drum overheads... :D

I own a C1 and love it.

The c4's we compared to many higher end mics. They are a great bargain at their price. I suggest you pick them up.

The only thing by SP i don't really like is the b series.

The Blue Bluebird was one of my least favorite vocal mics I've ever tried. I found it way too bright and thin.

Mics under $500 that I would consider are SE 2200T, Oktava MK-319, AKG C214, Shure SM7b. The Rode K2 would also be an excellent option if you see one for under $500.

I keep seeing the SM7B coming up, 350 on Amazon. Sometimes the masses are right.
