I've used other Naiant products and am acquainted with the engineering team and I have the utmost confidence that the products are excellent.

I'm sure the guy who bought the first Edsel said that too.:D

That's a great basis for a recommendation, I have to admit. The only better basis would be from someone who has ACTUALLY USED ONE.

At least apl lets you know. Unlike alot of the people around here;) Not to mention that his expieriance with the company is more to go on than alot of people have when they throw out recomendations:cool:

So you just leave him alone:mad::p:D

I have to say, that while there may be better DI's that are dedicated DI units, the DMP3 works great for DI as well as a mic preamp. What you hear going in, is exactly what comes out...if that's what you're going for. Plus, you'll have 2 clean channels of pres for the non DI stuff.

Edit: Sorry, missed the post that said you'll be hooking up a head to it (). Not sure what would be the best thing for that.

I have a Radial 48 active box that works on pretty much anything. Very clear and articulate response. Can handle several different type sources.

The SansAmp boxes are great also, but will color the sound. I prefer to use them live, and the Radial in the studio.

The BBE DI' s with the Jensen transformer are also very good, and work well in the studio and live, as you can bypass the processor.

I have some lower end Whirlwind passive boxes, that level the signal, but add noise. OK for some live work, but I dont record with them.

I have a question about di's too, no point in making a new thread!

Ok, I have a firepod, and the first two channels say instrument, so, do I really need a DI?

Well, B'man did have a very good point - it's not the best basis for a recommendation. You leave him alone, he's my mate.
