Best batteries

Everyone is telling us what the best mic is, but I would like to know, what is the best battery to use on a wireless hand held mic?

I have always been happy with the Duracell 'Procell' batteries which come in packs of 20 from Farnell etc. They seem to be the same as the consumer version but without the fancy packaging and the fancy price.

Don't listen to 'everyone'. There is no best mic for everything.

Buy 9 volt batteries in bulk. Really doesn't matter which brand. Replace before every show always. Also replace batteries in active guitars/basses before every session. Whether or not you think it is good enough is not worth finding out the hard way.

I can't say I've noticed a difference as I usually only use a set of batteries for about 4hrs. before changing them..................needed or not. I suppose better batteries would last longer but I would rather throw in new ones at intervals.

Rechargeable batteries are the best, no? How come no recommendations for them, do rechargeables not work in mics or something? I don't use them for mics so I don't know. But I use them for bike lights, mp3 players, remotes....don't see why a mic would be different.

I get the maximum mHa, and I find they last much longer than non-rechargeable batteries. I keep a pair of AAA and AA charged up so I always have a back up set if I run out. Gad, I could have 12 batteries powered up and ready to go if I wanted to for a few pennies a pop. IMO Normal batteries are a massive waste of money, not to mention an ecological nightmare.

rechargebles do have a slightly lower voltage initially when fully charged than a new disposable. Not a lot but some ....... does that make a difference? Dunno.

On some things it makes a difference, and other things not so much. I don't trust rechargebles in musical equipment.

They just came out with the new Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
Haven't tried them yet but, the trouble I've always seen is that a lithium battery just ups and dies quickly when it's power is depleted with not a warning. Where as a normal battery will give you a bit of a hint when it's getting low.
