I still dig this song. The melody might not follow the original 100%, but I would have still known what it was without knowing the name. and when the "Bennie and the jets" vox come in, it tickles the memory... any time i ever hear the original, i will always think of this tune. :)

yeah the backing sounds a lot better ...im wondering if the track was shifted to another key maybe your vocals would be more comfortable there??
 
I wish I could listen to this. Soundclick always gives me trouble... I live in the boonies, and the only high speed internet is satelite, and I usually only get 10-20 seconds of a song from soundclick before it stops.... very very frustrating!

Maybe go to9 the artist page, and see if it will DL....I've had to do that before.

This sounds like The Spiders from Mars (sans Bowie obv.) doing their thing all over a song that was made to rock - even sounds a little Ronnoish in the vox.
As such I like this - didn't like the original much - I like this better.
I'm glad I came to this late so I missed the unpleasantness.
The funny thought I had in my head was that a modifed Shakin' All Over tag line would go a treat on this - absurd I know.
Oh, it'd be obvious I hadn't any probs getting this to play wouldn't it?
