I recently purchased a new Xenyx X1832USB mixer for use with a podcasting project with friends. When connecting my Marshall MXL 770 microphone to input 1, plugging in the usb from the mixer into to my MacBook pro on Sierra OS, and turning on the power and phantom power to the mixer, I am unable to get anything to register for an input sound.
I have went to the system preferences of my MacBook and chose the input to be the "USB Audio CODEC" which is what the computer recognizes for the mixer, yet still nothing registers when speaking into the mic. I assumed it was maybe a driver issue, but the behringer website does not list any drivers for macs for this unit. I've looked at dozens of videos and still can't figure out what I'm sure is something very simple I am missing. Can anyone help this my poor ignorant mind?
