Has anyone used on of these? It appears it would be a good addition to a studio setup if one were looking for a bit more tactile feel for a DAW.

I am contemplating on getting one, either that or a synth since I haven't purchased anything in a few years. You know, need something new to get the juices flowing.

The Behringer X Touch does what it’s suppose to do - it’s inexpensive too - I had one for about a year - but I found that I was always going beyond
it’s usefulness - I would have 48 tracks for example - and while you can scroll through - It was bothersome for me - I’m back to ITB - I find it easier to visualize
my Mix.

yea, that was what I was thinking as well. It would be OK, but ... I have a controller, not motorized, but for a different reason, once you get past the track count, it seems to fall down and doesn't flow as well.

You confirmed what I thought.

Or you use it for bus control.

Send all drums, guitars etc to a summing bus and now you have a great tactical feel and control

I do the same with the x32
Although there i made a preset sending certain groups to inputs.

For example i send all drums to input 1-2
Percussion 3-4
Bass 5
Guitars 6-12
Etc.

Using groups or busses are a great way to stream line your workflow. You could even use automation on the separate tracks.

Personally i like rack gear and more faders so i opted for the x32.
