Hey, if someone could help me out that would be great. Well, I'm pretty poor and my audiotechnica just broke so I'm getting a Shure Sm7B for metal vocals. i figured that I could use a tube preamp to up the sound quality so I bought a "good condition" behringer T1953 on ebay. Well, when I got the package, the thing reaked of cigarettes despite the "smoke free studio" describtion. in addition, most of the screws are missing out of the bottom, including four screws around the vent. i've never seen one in person so I'm trying to figure out if the seller ripped parts out of it. For example, is there supposed to be a fan where the vent is? and how the heck do i crack this baby open to change the tubes? kus i tried taking out every screw, all that did was leave me with parts rattling around inside and screws that I can't get back in. Also, should I send this item back? did i get boned?

When you first got it, did you plug it in to see if it worked? Or did you just start unscrewing things immediately?

If I was the seller I would not take it back, because you have partially disassembled it. It is no longer in the condition he sent it to you in.

As far as I'm concerned, you own it now.
