just orderd mine.... should be in soon, supposed to be the same as the old composer, just with a de-esser, enhancer and tube emulater.... they had to sacrifice the old ratio control on the expander to fit the knob for the de-esser....

i think the de-esser will be pretty useful and i'm actually looking forward to trying the tube sim on bass and bass drum... i'm sure it will be interesting...

anyone using these yet?

I haven't ordered one, but I'm really curious about user comments. The specs are pretty impressive and so is the feature list. Hell, it's got 16 knobs and 27 buttons!
No, I'm actually more curious about the audio qualities. The published S/N ratio is almost insane (-115 db) and the mininmal attack time is down to 0.3 msec, which is even faster than my coveted "vintage" Composer 2100 models. The previous Composer Pro's minimal attack time was 1 msec, which was a bit too slow for some material. But will it live up to the promise?

I'm very curious as well. If you have gotten yours, please let us know how you like it. I've never used Behringer comps, but, as you said, the specs are great for so little money. Can't say I'm totally happy with my RNC, and would like to get something else for the rack with a different vibe and sound. And what's up with the tube emulation? I can't find any info on how they do that, or how it really sounds...Look forward to any comments on the unit. Thanks, Gelon

just pulled it out of the box it was a birthday present so i wasn't allowed to open it until this morning... i'm gonna give it a bash at rehersals tonight... that will give me a rough indication... i don't know how much detail i'll get from the tooooob button (our vocal p.a. is all vavle)... i will be putting it through its paces (recording) next weekend..... keep y'all posted

thanks gelon.... i think the party went a little to well last night.. we had about 20 friends at rehersal to party on down, so i didn't have much time to set things up.... only the bass went through the comp my bassist insisted (sloppy bastard) i think he likes the lights!!!! most of the bass we use is overdriven, actually all of it is overdriven.... so basically all i know about this unit at the moment is that it works, especially the gates, and has a heap of pretty lights!
