how do i get the think to work? (im a noob)
ive tried pluging it into my soundcard via xlr-jack cable, but nothing comes through on cubase se. can somone help me as this is setting my recordind back a long time

Well, it needs a phantom-powered preamp.

That mic needs some electricity fed to it to work. Mixers and pre amps have a switch on them called "phantom power". When turned on it will feed 48v of electricity to the mic via the xlr mic cable. If you have a mixer or a pre-amp you should be okay. If you don't have one there might be some low cost solutions that people here could recommend.
