my drum sound.. is not good.. they sound low.. i mean i could turn it up... but i mean a different knid of low.... sounds like they are behind a wall or in a bubble... i use nady dmk7 mic set and shure sm 57 for snare... i have a delta 66 aand behr. mixer... and ideas.. this ever happen to you?

What are you using for an overhead mic? What kind of room are you recording in? Room ambience plays a huge role in how your kit sounds.

behind a wall usually refers to lacking highs/mid-highs. So, do whatever it takes to get the highs back, I suppose. It's hard to go wrong with a 57 on the snare, double check your settings on the mixer. Move the overhead mics closer will reduce room sound, but I don't see how that can affect your sound so much that they sound "behind a wall" Tricky...

what's your compressor settings like? did you try just turning up the volumes on different mics? haha.

compression

i have no compression at the time www.lbcstudios.shorturl.com has a pic o the room and a sample of a recording... check it and that may help u out in helping me..under MEDIA link

So you're using 4 mics? How are they positioned? Also, why did you upload a WMV file instead of an MP3?

I listened to "WHY" from MP3.com and I see what you mean. Bring those damn faders up. I have similar equipment (Delta 44, Behringer mixer, 2 Oktava MK012s overhead, Beta 52 on kick, 57 on snare).

I don't know exactly what your problem is, so tell me how you've positioned the mics.

site

check the sample under media.. not the mp3 site.. i need to take the mp3 site link off... but check the thing under media.. it has a pic also.. equip is on the site... i have a mic for kick... one for snare... a high hat mic... two overheads... and a floor tom mic... and usually one mic in hte middle toms... but not too close...i need compression... to turn stuff up.. i think i did a lil better with the all hopes lost sample... but compresion would help.. cause some parts would clip if turned the tracks up... but ive turned it up before... for some reason.. it seems like... iam capturing a lot of mass or matter or somethin along with the drums... not a hiss or anything.. just seems like the mics are zeroing in on the sonud i want... well hopefully this helps...
