Nice song, very soothing without being boring. The vocals are off a little around 1:49. Other than that I'm not hearing anything bad.

The guitar part around 3;20 is a little hot. I'm not sure what was mentioned so I'm just doing my own thing.

A little less enthusiam at the end from the drums would probably be a good thing too.

All in all nice tune

Hi Vota,

Thanks for your help with my song.

Beautiful Day is a great song. I like the guitar work and the way it develops and unfolds. Great work. I like the high hat and the drum freakouts at the end. The little cymbal thing at the very beginning is great

Sound wise I would work on the kick drum and the electric guitar sound (it's a little dull sounding). I really like the snare tone, but I'd probably turn it down a smidge. The cymbals sound a little odd, but I think that's probably a problem with your room, or maybe the kit isn't the most expensive. It doesn't detract too much from the song.

thanks about the cymbal thing. the drummer did a count off to start the song, and on the beat before the song started he hit his ride lightly, and I just ended up cutting out the first three clicks and having the song fade in quickly. I know, it ends up sounding almost reverse or something, which is cool.

I really do want to re-record the song at some point, but we did a VERY rush job over christmas break. a day for everything.
plus, the song hadn't been fully developed yet either, so.......

thanks for your comments.

also, I can't do much about the snare level, as all I have going on right now are the overheads and the kick.
speaking of which, what do you suggest I perhaps do to get a better kick sound? I swear, that has to be the hardest thing for me (well, that and bass....... but I've figured out it has something to do with the active pickups on phil's bass).

what do you think about the vocals? too much compression? too little? reverb? etc............

thanks for everything, by the way cominginsecond. I really like the stuff you do.
I also really appreciate comments from you, as I feel we are sort of in similar veins of music.
