I bought fairly cheap a AW4416. Now I know why it was fairly cheap: no internal CDRW, and these are really hard to get  . The internal software can only be updated with external SCSI Harddisk (which I do not have, also unavailable, at least the disks listed on aw4416.com) or with a CD.
Does anyone have an idea how to 'upgrade' my AW4416 with a CDRW internal? Without it it is pretty much audio in, but never getting it out again, which sucks.

I'm willing to ship it, pay for upgrades/changes/CDRW drive whatever..

Please help?

Do some more research... don't give up yet... just because a CD or SCSI drive isn't on the manufaturers compatabilty list does mean it isn't compatable. It just means they don't support it, and haven't tested it. There's only a handful of actual drive manufactures that re-label for the 100s of distributers.

Check the Forums for other compatable devices. Chances are most any external SCSI drive with a D-sub 50pin connector will work.

I rarely pay top dollar from the vender... Even when available I go third party at about 25% of the cost... Takes a bit more research... but it's time well spent
