Ok let me say I totally respect that you are not getting defensive at my posts and I appreciate that. I usually try to stay away from internet forums because people generally cannot handle other peoples opinions.

I feel ya- I don't get upset when someone is honestly trying to help me. Once this guy asked me who did the "hack job" on my electrical, and that "hack" happened to be my uncle, who retired as a chief engineer in the merch marines making well over 100k annually. I did get a bit defensive when he stated it like that.

We all have bad experiences with different things, but it doesn't neccessarily mean its a bad product; there could be a # of reasons why it didn't work. I would recommend the Auralex for someone trying to tame ringing. I have not experienced mineral wool panels (my panels are rigid fiber compressed in 2 x 4's- and they work well), but I will be looking into that to build my bass traps. Hopefully I can do it for $200 or less. We'll see.

I remember that thread. I think I chimed in and told the guy to cool it. That was lame.

Some folks are just really abrasive. Take Fitz for instance, I mean, he can really come off like a complete jerk, but take what he does for folks in the forums, he offers professional advice for absolutely nothing, and goes into great detail. Its obvious he loves what he does and knows- and we just have to take it with a grain of salt. I like him by the way, I just think maybe he should tone down the abrasiveness just a grunt. But thats my opinion and everyone's got em right?

Now Fitz, if you blast me out of the water for saying that, I'm just gonna come punch you in the mouth- you'll just have to tell me where you live, okay? :)

At any rate, arguments make us wiser. We just need to have a reason to support that argument. I just prefer friendly arguments as opposed to heated. I was a noob once, and I know I wanted to be treated kindly by others in the forums, and at the same time not look like a complete idiot by asking "dumb" questions. Some folks just don't have the tolerance and I can understand that. In my line of work, I get a little frustrated at the "kids" coming in and thinking they got what it takes and they don;t know squat, and they won;t listen to a thing you say, but I appreciate a youngun asking me "what would you do". Feel me?
