I just bought the Audiophile 2496 and I have Cool Edit Pro 2. Im trying to record something playing from Real Player to Cool Edit Pro. I have some audio that only RealPlayer can play and I want to hit record in Cool Edit and have the audio record from Real Player to Cool Edit's sequencer. I want to know what setting in the mixer will allow me to do this. The manual is pretty confusing on explaining the setting options so I would appreciate some help from fellow users. Also, if you have any help on how to have an input on my S/PDIF play through my speakers that would be cool too. Thanks guys!

You can do a direct record from one app to another. Select the Audiophile monitor mixer (Might also be called Delta AP 5&6 depending on your driver type) as CEP2s recording device. Open the Delta Panel and unmute Analog out 1&2 and the Master (presumably the output Realplayer is using) then CEP will record whatever is set on the Monitor mixer faders.

Cool! Thanks, it worked fine. One more quesetion though. I have a Korg Triton and I need to hook it up to my sound card but all I have left are those S/PDIF outs & ins available. I have a mixer in which the Triton is connected to at the time, that outputs with RCA cords; but I dont see any "right" and "left" indicators on the S/PDIF. Just "In" and "Out", along with a connection for your MIDI cables. Do I need to get some kind of breakout box or something? If so, which one. Thanks!

interested in the 24/96 myself was wandering if you have any comments about it . can it handle heavy distortion bass guitar ?

spdf

with spdf it is only in and out.....just plug them in reverse, i haven't got the time just now to explain why it is but u just putt the out from ur korg in the in to the sound card and visa versa
