Hey guys, recently purchased the AT4047 and it came with an audio technica black shock mount, I am assuming it is the basic one. Anyways, my question is... Is this shock mount sufficient or should I invest in something better. I used to have the AKG H-85 ...misplaced it, do you guys know if that mount would fit the AT4047 or if you have any other recommendations that would be great.

Thanks guys

I have 3 AT LDC mics...and the shockmounts are all the same cept the 4047 one is colored to match it...it holds on just fine.

The mount (I'm assuming the same one with the two wide rubber bands)seems to work well enough, but I've had my 4047 drop out of the mount due to slack' after a few years. Watch for that.
I'm considering trying that one from Rycote there with the idea of pehaps using it as a replacement for few different mounts rather than keep chasing those sloppy bungies'. ;)

You can buy the elastic by the yard at any food fabric store. It's a 15 minute fix.-Richie

The best Shockmounts was the Shure ones...you wont see those mics falling out of those...they screw in...you would have had to do it wrong to make it mess up.
