If you're happy with your work flow and want to stick with it then, of course, that's fair enough,
but, just so you know, you wouldn't need to match anything manually.
That's the whole point of multitrack recording.
You hit record and sing along to your backing track, for example, then when you stop and hit play you hear the backing and singing playing together in time, as recorded.
There may be milliseconds of latency but nothing you're going to be able to hear.
If you have experience of having to manually nudge or move tracks that you've recorded to be in time with the rest then that suggests an issue with your setup which, no doubt, we can help with.
