Yeh, that is what you're looking for. It has 8 mic inputs so you could plug up to 8 baby blues if you wanted lol. I don't have any experience with that brand particularly, but Im sure someone here could tell you if it's a good one or not. But as far as inputs and all that...that interface has a pretty good bit of features for the price.

Yes that would work fine CELLis. Does it have to be firewire? If not take a look at the Tascam US1641 it's a nice little unit as well. ;)

difference?

Whats the difference between the firewire and tascam...and are you sure the tascam will let me put in up to 8 microphones to record live if need be?? look at the kiwi cable in the bundle i posted...would that all fit together?? what is the mic input called??? is it XLR?

The Tascam is USB the Alesis is firewire Be sure your comuter supports firewire. Mic input = XLR or preamp.
The Tascam is (8) Mic pres plus (4) 1/4 inputs.

oh i'll definitely go for usb...and 8 mic inputs is gd...can i ask a studio question...what is 1/4 inputs??

Just like an instrument cable. Your standard guitar cable.

so this has 8 mic inputs...then 4 intrument inputs..so i could hook up an electro acoustic guitar?? or not??

Ya you could. or any other type of guitar/bass.

Or you could look at the ZOOM R 16 which has 8 XLR-1/4" combo inputs. It'll handle 8 mics or 8 1/4" cables or any combo of same. It also functions as a control surface for most DAW's, which is pretty cool. It's also USB, and functions as a portable recorder that can record 8 tracks onto a SD card.
