Hi everybody!
I just visited the SAE-site some of the pros on this site keep referring to, and you just won't believe the amount of useful information on it! It's also fun to read!

So if you want to know:
* about acoustics
* about different types of mics
* how to record different instruments
* how your bedroom studio should be set up
* why on earth listening to your mix in your car or in the open air is better than in your studio

JUST VISIT THE DANG SITE!!!

I'm telling you guys, just do it man! You'll feel a lot more experienced when you did, and maybe you can even talk along with the big guys over here (and give them a break by NOT asking the difference between a condensor mic and a dynamic mic because you already know the answer).

Just take it from a fellow newbie, will you!

well said dirk the sae manual is a brilliant source of information that manual will teach you loads and answer many questions better for you then those posts about the next best mic under x amount of dollars do your reading and understanding first theres plenty of time to kit out with basic gear once you have some knowledge in tow anyway great work
