AT4050 for $299 on eBay

Would you folks recommend I go for this? It's the mic I am looking to move to next, and $299 is by far the best I've seen it. It was supposedly used at the Grammy Awards, sent to the factory to be checked, and is now being sold. Does this sound like a believable story?

I recognize that one of you might snag it now that I've posted it, but I figured it was better to get some thoughts ahead of time. If someone from here buys it, at least it was an HR.com member who got a good deal. Keep in mind I will put a curse on your thieving soul if you sneak this out from under me. Just kidding. Not sure how legit this particular seller might be, but I've seen this same tag line or similar on lots of AT4050 and 4033 auctions in the past 6 months.

edit:
look for the seller's other items, and it shows that he/she has not items for sale. I have cookies enabled, and ebay.com has me logged in; ebay.ca does not. Unless this is some kind of alternate ebay site you are used to using, It looks very fishy or very phishing.

The seller is also selling an AT4040 for $199.

I got one about 3 months ago, same grammy listing and everything. When I received it, it was brand spanking new looking, packed in a professional case etc......And to this point, I have no complaints with it. I record eveything with it, I'm SATISIFED
I'm pretty sure it is the same seller, I didn't look, but the "Grammy listing" sounds the same. I think it's legit, unless I'm just plain ole easy to please!

Well, it's not the same person, I just checked. But I hope it works out as well as mine did! I actually ended up paying about $325.

A couple of years ago, Full Compass ran a special selling AT4050s (and some other models, too, if I recall correctly) that had been used at that year's Grammy ceremony. It would make sense that some of these mics would wind up being traded on eBay over time, so it's quite possible that these are legit.
