heres why i say fuck 50 cent.

when 50 dropped that debut album i thought he was gonna do BIG things...thats still to this day one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time. the first g-unit album was pretty good too. but ever since then, hes become more and more of a bitch and his music has gotten worse and worse, most likely not by coincidence. i cant even stand to see him on tv any more. thats just what the game needs is for someone who is just gonna talk shit about anyone and everyone whos not making him money and then get shot like a little punk bitch and have everyone disrespect hip-hop like what happened with biggie and pac. youd think someone of his stature and his fame would be smarter than to fall into that same shit. but if you ask me he just wants to go out the same way that they did so that he'll be remembered the same way, even though hes not even 1/325325th of the emcee that either one of those two was.

i dont know about anyone else, but i knew it was only a matter of time before 50 and dre broke apart, assuming that storys true of course. dre has made 10 times more money and 1000 times better music than 50 and he cant stand that. just like he couldnt stand that dres protege, game, was twice the rapper, and not that im a good judge of OG but twice the gangster as well, that 50 is. the only thing left now is for 50 to realize that buck and banks are better rappers than him too and that mobb deep will be around twice as long as him when its all said and done and then he'll be alone and broke if hes not already dead.

theres my 50 cents if you will.

mho 50 even with Em and Dre is just another weak rapper on another copycat beat. I think 50 has made some smart business decisions and some bad business decisions. I think he lets his pride and ego get in the way when the bad business happens. Like I said before bad enough to bite the hand that feeds you, but don't go bite the hand that brings the money to pay for the food that the hand feeding you passes over.

I doubt that Em and Dre would part ways or have intense drama. Seems like they have a good understanding of how each other works. Personally, I still think Dre either gives the go ahead or the red light on a lot of Em's business decisions.

As far as Scott Storch goes...got nothin' bad to say about him....he makes his beats and leaves it at that for the most part. When the worst drama you could have is beef with Lil' Jon then you're not doin' too bad. Didn't know that he did a lot of the more current Aftermath work, but it would make sense though.

50 is probably one of the weakest lyricists (it's a stretch to even use that word when refering to him) in the game. GRODT was a very dope album, but it wasn't lyrically a classic. His skill has definitely continued downhill since then. I really wish he'd go back to the style of "How to Rob..." and put out that gully ish he used to. He was once a very dope emcee...

That being said, I downloaded "The Massacre" and decided I wouldn't be purchasing it. The whole LP was made for radio. You can't put 15 "singles" on an LP and expect it to be a classic. That's ignorant. He's making music for radio, and not for the streets... He's an idiot for that.

The only person in the G-Unit camp I look forward to, is Young Buck. Dude is nice, and he stays hood.

Thats about how silly his dumb ass sound.
I'm with you and what the fuck is up with all these SENSITIVE ass thugs anyway....

I'm like don't talk about it ... be about it.. you wanna be hard then stop making records... Gangster music has a place but has been confused with being the voice for hip hop. I for one will be all too happy when the gangsters go back to being hoodlums and hip hop comes back home to the passion and fire, and fun and hard times stories that made me fall in love with it all those years ago! Dam is Pre on a soap box ??? let me get down !!!

I feel a Westside Connection vibe goin' on...."So many gangstas in love (in love) on the radio (radio)....So many fake ass thugs (thugs) on the radio (radio)"

Lloyd Banks is a versatile cat and Buck keeps it hood and stays real about it. Yayo probably had better flow before he got locked up...prison either gives you more imagination or takes away from it. I think imagination left his ass and said "Fuck that I ain't Akon...let me out bitch".

Lyrically, most of 50 Cent's shit isn't worth 50 shits, every now and then he'll put one out that I like (and not that Candy Shop soundin' like Magic Stick shit....I hated Piggy Bank too)

I said it before..once you go mainstream and start to sell platinum + albums you change to that style that is makin you that money..and he is doin exactly that..the commerical rap is sellin big for him so that is what you are hearing from him now..he really dont care what other say about him losing his gangsta as long as his record sells keep goin up..he will keep doin what he do..

I feel very similar to this, and at the same time, I don't...

Like, the best albumof the year, by far (in my opinion) is The Minstrel Show from Lil Brother. It's so dope it's unbelievable...

But I can't deny the thug in me, who loves to vibe out to that "bang-bang" ish... You feel me?

But I do feel you...

Word.

That's the difference between us underground heads, and the Mainstream heads...

I don't HATE radio music, it has it's place on every album... But when it begins to dominate the type of material you put out, you've sold out. That's what I hate about 50. He should've stayed with the hood, and he would've went down in history as someone like Tupac (clearly not on that level, but I needed a comparison) as far as street rhymes and hood appeal are concerned.

Like, I make music for the streets, which can also be played on radio because it has that "vibe" to it... But the streets feel it more than the radio crowd, cuz I ain't talking about bling and hoes...

I do indeed feel you and as a son of hip hop i could not be complete without a lil thug motivation e'ye once in awhile myself.

I hate the implication that seems to be made now a days of if your not ganster your not real hip hop!!! that and the wanna be gansters are what irks me the most.

I am the first to acknowledge that it is gangsta rap that has allowed th lavish lifestyles and commerical opportuinities for hip hop. It is just that now I believe the mainstream (read white) audience should be ready for something more.

I think I would have been more satisfied with The Massacre album if there was a good blend. Too much commercial tracks on it and not enough hood. 50 did it that way because that's what sold off his first album. That's what got him exposure (or more of it). But take "I'm Supposed to Die Tonight" and "Disco Inferno". I liked them both, but I can roll with the first. The second is too jumpy for me most of the time, but I can vibe with it here and there.

That's my point completely, fam.

I'm supposed to die is the best joint on the LP, and pretty much stands alone as the only gully track on there. GRODT had like, 15 hood tracks, and 4 singles. The Massacre has like, 15 singles, and 4 hood tracks. That's the wrong formula to retain your fan base.

true its the wrong formula to retain his fan base...but he did ..so something is working out there..but i bet he will go more street for the next one

I loved GRODT Matter of fact...I still bump that here and there. "In The Club" was jumpy and dancy but you could still roll to it. Now if Massacre's tracks were versatile like that then I'd probably like it more.

Actually, he didn't retain his fanbase.... The initial fanbase who purchased GRODT when it first dropped, most likely didn't copp the massacre (like myself). He retained the Radio fanbase who purchased GRODT after In Da Club and 21 Questions (the two tracks I skip on GRODT) were in heavy rotation...

He's sold about half the amount with The Massacre that GRODT sold in the same time.... That says something.

I never liked In Da Club, but I still bump GRODT from time to time, when I need my hood fix. Patiently Waiting is one of the sickest tracks ever...
