Nice grain action on the body! :)

Damn,that's nice!

Was it easy/hard to build?

Tell us the story!

Awesome! Is that the alder body/maple neck/ebony fingerboard? That tung oil looks hot!

It didn't come out the color I wanted. I was trying to get more of a red finish.
I had it done and didn't like it so I stripped it down changed the color. This is what I ended up with.

I stained the neck and headstock also.
Tung oil finish on neck and body.

4 string Alder body with passive/active electronics and a coil tap on the humbucker.

I got some water slide decal paper that I am going to use of a logo on the headstock.

HA: You can't beat the price and quality of a Carvin. :D

What sort of logo are you gonna use?

I'm thinking something like this.
If you have any Ideas throw them my way.

That looks pretty sweet. How much was it with those options? I'm refinishing my old crappy P-bass copy and if it comes out well, I might get one of those kits, maybe in a J style configuration. How does it play?

Did you do the assembly, or did you have a "shop" do it??

How's the action and playing??

Uh......and the sound, how's it sound compared to what you were playing before??

Thanks,
Rick

It was very easy to do.
This is how you get it.

I think it cost me around $450 - $475.

They have a lot more options than on this page.

Also If you get the free DVD that is at carvin.com you get a code for 5% off your order or just tell the sales rep you have the 5% off dvd code.

It plays great. I set it up myself. (I like playing around with that stuff)
The instruction's for the set up are very easy to follow even if you never have done it.

I love the sound of the humbucker.

Thanks for the info!!

I'm well versed in Carvin Gear as I have more than most  .....but no guitars :(

I've been kicking around the idea of one of their Kits, but with different options (You can choose just about anything for an up charge;) )

I wouldn't mind doing a bass as well........hmmm.... :D

Nice job timboz. Did you tell me before that you used the Sedona Red? I thought my guitar would be red also, but I'm colorblind and although I thought it looked red my wife said it's brown. Oh well, looks good to me anyways.

I did use the minwax Sedona Red. It dose look brown in the photo.
It has more of a red tint to it.

The thing plays nice.
