Honestly...

The tracking and overall production is extremely poor. There is a duet between two flat lead guitars going through the whole song, the back up vocals are attempting to harmonize, but failing miserably, while the main vocals resemble a choir boy after being castrated.

The individual tracks are saturated with reverb, leaving not many options as far as mixing goes, and the vocals and instruments are all bleeding into each others individual tracks. IMHO, you should spend a bit more time on production/tracking, and then repost it.

i understand what you mean, there were some aspects of the tracking i had no control over, like the drums, and i have no way of contacting the drummer now. the bass is flawless, in my opinion (done by Cgibson from this board). the only remark i'm puzzled about is about the vocals, there were no backing vocals, i did a single take of the vocals. i did, however, add an echo effect, that i felt added a certain distant quality that i wanted ever since i made my first demo of this. as for the quality of the singing, let's just say i don't expect to win american idol anytime soon, i'm just a Fed who likes to play music. i added reverb to the solo, also for a sort of distance effect.

anyway, i agree with your assessment for the most part, and i should probably try to get raw takes of each track (except drums, although i could ask around for those). i don't have the greatest gear in the world (i use a pg57 as a mic, that should basically sum it up) so i try to do the best with what i have. appreciate the feedback. but if anyone even wants to attempt to fix my mess, these tracks should provide good practice.
