Hey Lopp, I like Jabberstomp a bunch! :D

Erland, what it is is you can go to Nowhereradio and go to the public playlists (click listen in the upper left) and find the playlist named Homerecording.com artists---The Lt. Bob list.
That's all songs by homerecers. You can either let your player just play from the list or find something you want and use the search feature to find their site.

I'm gonna put up a list of the BBS names of everyone that's there in a while. HEY WALDO....is there some way I can simply save the locations of peoples songs so if they add something it will be added or do I have to do it song by song? I don't mind...just trying to learn what the possibilities are.

Earlier, as I was reading this, I was thinking about adding a feature such as that... I'll have to make some database modifications and of course cod mods, so it will take some time, but I've added it to my list of 'to dos'.

Basically, there will be a + with 'add all artists songs to list' beside it, then it will monitor their uploads, and add it to the list when they do.

W.

That would be cool. :) In the meantime I intend to keep up with it. You know, I could put up a post here with everyone's links on it. Then folks could just go to that thread. Hmmmm.......

I'll be working on some of them features sometime this week.

I just finished off a 1:1 banner exchange, for all them users who have websites, it's under services on NWR. For those who just have a site on NWR, you can add the code through nearly any field in your NWR admin (HTML is allowed almost everywhere, just don't put it in the song fields), to help increase your traffic.

W.

....uh.........Waldo?..........what does that mean?

I get the banner exchange part but then you start speaking in tongues. :D

You know Waldo, I just recently began putting tunes up @ NWR (and old ones at that,) but have been following the NWR saga for quite some time. I for one appreciate the time and resources you're investing.

[snip... {end ass kissing here}] :D

Hey I'll kiss your ass too Waldo...you are definately the man. :p

Lol, thx. Jim.

Bob> On your NoWhere artists page, you can add the banner exchange code, or any HTML for that matter.

Just drop the code into any of the fields for your artists, except for the song information fields.

i.e.:

In the field 'description' for your main artist information, you could put:

Code:
<b>Hello world!</b><br><img src="http://whatever.com/picture.gif">

And it would write 'Hello world!' in bold, with the image from whatever.com underneath it on your artists page!

OK I think I've got it. So I could, for instance, have a banner or picture instead of just text if I wanted, is that right?

That's not the only such code is it? Where can I find out about using these and what different codes there are?

Yep, essentially you could use images instead of text, add in extra links/ features...

Any HTML will work. I may limit some HTML in the future, but right now everything works.

Visit any site on how to build websites and use HTML, there's thousands out there. I've been using HTML so long it's like a second (or third, or fourth, or...) language to me, so I never have to go to any such site, otherwise I'd drop a few links for you.

Roel....

You never heard these tunes? Darn... :o It's not me singing however. We's a magic duo, he does programming, vocals, some keyboards and guitars, and I do recording, keyboards, more guitars and sax. And a stand-in for the 2nd part of the guitarsolo...

And no saxamophone on these tunes either.... But in a few weeks, we should have a saxtune ready...

Glad to have you GT---good Dan Jam. :)
It's up to 106 songs by 34 artists. When it looks like it's fairly complete, I'll put up a post with everyone's sceen name and their link. Got a ways to go yet though and I can see I'll always be a little busy keeping up with adding stuff.

Should get somebody to make up a banner for the list, and post it in the banner exchange to help out with outside traffic!
