Anyone wanna do a collaboration recording?

OK... I deleted the first one... The replacement is called full2_novox.zip...

I'll try a download of it and see if it opens for me here at work...
 
The new file downloaded and unzipped just fine :)

I'm assuming the individual wav files are all OK... I don't have any apps here to dump them into to check...

But at least the Zip is not corrupt

It may be a few days. I've been having some technical difficulties (my US-122 fell on the floor and the headphone jack shattered -- I've spent the last day fixing it). Not to mention, I spent 3 hours last night meticulously lining up all the tracks (everything sounds great, btw), only to realize that we have new drums now :o . I'll get those put in and lay down the vox. I have a few guitar ideas as well, so I'll probably track those and see what materializes.

Eeeh, sorry to hear about the fall. I forgot you were going to add the acoustic (hit me in the head, I'm the one that asked you to!). I will download the tracks tonight and start lining them up and get ready to put it all together. Then when you get done, I guess we can call this one complete. And it's on to the next collab.......
 
Hey, should I add that last arpeggiated guitar track (like my original scratch track)?
It seems to be missing something. I wanted to ask first....

Yeah, I haven't quite figured out the harmonies yet, but once I get the lead down, I'll hammer them out.

OK, that's two votes...

Purge? I can get it tracked tonight and have it up tomorrow.

Should I post the entire mix again, or just my track? I don't think it will be a problem lining it up, because it will start at the 8 count on the mp3, and just after the 4 count on the high hats...

I'm not sure if playing along to the mp3 will line it up with the rest of the wav tracks tho... When synching everything last time, I had to actually adjust the distorted guitar tracks 2wice... once at the beginning and once before the solo (although, it sounds like I should have done it a few measures earlier than the solo since it appears they start to drift again earlier than I edited).
I'm thinking if you mixed a stereo track of the wav's, and then dumped that into your MR8, and then recorded against that, we might be better in the long run...

But, whatever is easiest for you... we have the capabilities to synch if needed... :D

That was my plan. I recorded the distorted tracks following the mp3, so that's probably why they drifted... I was trying to stay with the click track, but the way the vocal was sung kinda distracted me...
So I will mix down the tracks and render them to a mono wave....

EDIT: my guitar playing is pretty weak, so if someone else wants to do that track... Scrubs listed the chord shapes I used (I only played off the top 3 strings, except for the Bm - A - G thing...)

Hey, go for it. You've heard my stuff...I'm not happy unless I hear 37 guitar tracks in a song!! :D
 
But I will give it a shot. I can do pretty good with my own stuff (I hide mistakes well when I mix), but when it's for something like this, I tend to get anal and make mistakes by trying not to...
 
I would, but my weekend is going to be retarded with bullshit. I hate to promise something that I don't think I'd get a chance to deliver on. If we need to add anything else once we've got the rest of the tracks laid down, I can fill out whatever is needed next week.

Hey my shift is finally over. Time to split, see you guys Monday.
