Anyone wanna do a collaboration recording?

If BentRabbit doesn't do the drums, I think I can cover them.....

I have something very rough up right now. It's an idea that has reared its ugly head several times since I first came up with it in about '94, and it's never been a song. I posted a very rough scratch track of it here:

Of course I called it "Scratch Track (really)"


If we want to do this, I'm game. It'll get one of the skeletons out of my closet so that I can make room for new ones... :eek:

Well, somebody get something laid down! :D

We can use my server to pass the files around. If we are goinna try for PMC#9 we best get movin' - lol. :)
 
I posted that scratch track on soundclick, so if anyone is interested in developing it, let me know. If it stinks, it stinks. I am open for all sorts of suggestions, and we have NL5 onboard with his server (easier to pass tracks around than email).

Let's do it!

How much of a song do we want to put up? An entire thing with our contribution? Or just an idea like I posted?

I have some lyrics that need a lot of work to go with the scratch track I posted. Someone want to tackle this? Let me know. I really want to do something with the collaberation....

And I seem to be alone with it.... :(

Don't count yourself out! We don't even know what song we are going to be doing. Someone could come up and say "Hey, we need a horn section"... :D

Alright.

I also do a little bit of drums and i own a nice drumset with all the mics and stuff. I have a good solid pulse and can do most beats but im not too fancy with rolls and stuff.

Im sure plenty of people have already come up that are more qualified for this which is why didnt say anything at first. Pitty i have all the equipment for it though.

But as far as the trombone goes im sure i could do the part well. But i rarely hear music around here that could fit a horn section in it. But we will see i guess.

Hey, sounds good to me....get a final scratch track done, and I will use that to lay drums, then I'll pass it back to you for final guitars, etc, etc...

Not that it would be absurd for anything we put together, it was just the farthest thing from my mind.... :D

Bentrabbit - hahaha. Thats actually the reaction i was expecting from most people.

For all we know we could start up some new style of music though. Heh.

I am currently working on modifying your basic chord progression... I would like to use it in a simple 7/8 feel patern. Would get a good drive after the smooth intro (guitar).

Tenkas is doing something with it, so I am going to wait until he gets done with it, because he is changing up the timing....
 
Well we can keep the beggining like you did it, but after that part, it would be nice to introduce a 7/8 drive part with organ and heavy vintage guitar.

I am in "medium" deep shit at school (forgot to read a book for thuesday!!!!) but don't worry, I am not letting you guys down, also, I don't wanna be seen as beeing a big boss of this project, so post any experimentation recording you want, and we'll then structure something out of this
