Anyone using multiple BCF2000's w/PTLE????

Hey,
Has anyone used multiple BCF2000's in Pro Tools LE? If so, can you use them simultaneously? Im thinking about getting one but don't want to if you can't add on more. I'm using Pro Tools LE v.6.4 on Windows XP. If anyone is using a simular system could you explain how you setup multiple BCF2000's in Pro Tools LE.I would prefer to cascade them with USB. Thanks!!

Bcf2000

Hi,

I currenty use a single BCF2000 with ProTools LE 6.4
It works fine with MIDI but i have not got it working with audio (yet) - it doesn't follow automated faders etc.

You can use two together by using MIDI. You connect one unit to your computer and connect the second to the first unit using MIDI. This is explained in the manual. In theory you could use both with USB but that depends on if the drivers support it.

Richard

Im glad someone has some luck with that unit I got one and took it back I personally did not like how noisey it was, shitty drivers, and so on So I bought a Mackie Control Universal and have been happy every since.

I use it in Pro Tools LE in Baby HUI mode and the drivers aren't shitty at all. It pretty much simulates and does everything the Baby HUI does. I'm happy with it. Not to mention how inexpensive it is compared to others. Glad you like your Mackie universal, that would have been my choice too if this BCF2000 didn't work how I wanted it to.

Good for you, the price for the unit is great it was just too noisey and the number 5 fader didnt work, to make a long story short I took it back and got another one and it was broke too so that pissed me off then I brought the Mackie. If it would have worked I would have kept it and spent the rest of the money on some other gear, Oh well... :(

I'm using a BCF-2000 with Pro Tools 8 M-Powered on WinXP SP3. No issues at all (haved used this unit for years with Sonar, Tracktion and Reason).

Can I use a 2ND BCF-2000 via USB with Pro Tools and have it automatically assigned to the 2nd set of 8 channels? I don't see any way in Pro Tools to make this work, but sure hoping there is!

thanks!
