Well, I have to dissagree with you on one point Rami.....Your opinion DOES matter. You've got as good of ears, if not better, than some of us, so your take on this stuff is helpful to us mortals that can't really sing.... :D

This has been a pretty cool thing, just to see the different takes on this, just like the guitar Rumbles. I've only heard Ocnor play guitar before, but now I want to kill him. :p Anyone wanna help? I'd wanna kill you too, Rami, but since you've done drums for half the musicians here, well, I can spare you for now, and I'd even buy you a beer, if you didn't live 3000 miles away.

But on a serious note, Purge has to be pretty happy to have a few different takes of this to listen to, as that always seems to help make the creative process really start to roll.

sounded like spinal tap...wasn't that back before spandex? :)

Somehow you've managed to capture the true spirit of a typical Purge writing session. And goddammit...that's just fucking creepy. :D

Thanks dude!

You're right...I just thought you were making fun of his song. It was late, I was tired. It was funny though.

Hey, and it helped me to remember not to take all this musical shit too seriously. There have been way too many times that (in spite of being a generally funny person) I would get wrapped up in all the bullshit, the problems, the mistakes...y'know, all that stuff that anybody in a band WILL go through. And for what? I'm burning this to a CD to remember to keep all this in perspective. I'm writing a lot of "sssssssserioussssssss" music nowadays, but this is gonna keep me laughing. Music should be fun, not a fucking chore.

Incidentally Rami, thanks for stepping up. I knew at the first second that Finster wasn't trying to be an asshole (I'm thinking he was remembering my "Suck My Rock" guitar solo...), but it was still a nice feeling that somebody had my back in case a prick did show up.

So everybody wins! Who's gonna sing next?

Serious music??? Damn, dude, you better down a few more Quills. I can't imagine Purge being too serious, you know. The guy that steps into a thread, and farts.....

Damn straight!! You should see the recording and writing sessions. "Okay, we got a good take on that song about killing ourselves, now let's go outside and light our farts."

Dude, I got to get down to Colorado. This would make for a kick-as weekend. Music, beer, food, beer, and gas..... :D

You're welcome anytime. Should we call it "PurgeFest" or is that just a little fucked up? :D

Purgefest...I like it. Ozzfest on Nyquil....

Nice Scrubs. Nice voice, and good melody on this. I like your phrasing, too, you let it breathe. Some harmonies on the chorus would help it stand out a bit more. But I like the under-statement in your approach, gives the lyrics more of a chance to sink in. Love your voice.

Going back through the others:

RAMI - Great performance. Nailed the style, imo. I like your lyrics, too. I could have sworn I was listening to the Scorpions. :)

SnakeDog - What can I say. Doggielicious.

Insightnsound - You really captured the paranoia of the lyrics. Very cool delivery.

ocnor - Very appropriate lyrics. I dig the harmony vox, mucho.

shiatzu - You sound pretty pissed of during the chorus :D . Fun.

Dogman - Probably the best vocal I've heard from you, especially the chorus, great attitude.

finster - A true South Park moment. Hilarious. But, seriously, you've got some nice range there.

Thanks, man. I was definitely planning on tossing in some harmonies...but, I'm pretty lazy. :D
