Anyone up for a VOCAL RUMBLE???

Rami, I'm really curious to see what you did with the song... but I'm not going to listen until mine is up so it doesn't influence mine. I'll post it real soon, it seriously sucks hardcore :D

Rami, something about that really reminded me of 'eye of the tiger'... not really sure why. good try though, could use some buxom backup chorus singers though.

Well at least yours sucks hardcore...mine just sucks!!!
It soooo did NOT suck! Great work, RAMI...I especially liked what you were doing with the verses. And that's a hell of a vocal range you've got there. Coming up with this as quickly as you did...you've got some SERIOUS musical instincts. Thanks for throwing that down!

Guys, I'm loving this already. Like I said before, it's really cool to hear something that I thought was so familiar to me, only to have a breath of fresh air thrown in. We should do stuff like this more often. Imagine hearing a song you wrote, yet you don't know what you should expect to hear...weird!

Yeah, who's next?!

Here's mine. I'll warn you now... bad. For those who heard my "Dogs in Outer Space" you might dig the "encore."

Haha, and I hope I didn't violate all vocal rumble rules by playing an additional lead guitar on everything past the first verse. I personally dig the second chorus, that's where the guitar really starts to pick up :D

I Am (The Alien Dog)
I'm sure I'm hard to understand, but the lyrics are at the link. My idea in the lyrics is to keep meantioning "dangerous situations"

P.S- I like the backing track a lot, I might try a more serious version sometime soon. I'd also like to actually mix this version some.

Haha, for every Rami who rocks the track down, there's a Snakedog who destroys the track (see above post) :D I do like the guitar work in the second half of mine (the irony is that this is a VOCAL RUMBLE :p )

Rami, that version really does rock!

Also, if you listen to mine back to back with Rami's, you gotta turn mine wayy up. I'll fix that ;)

That was pure genious. Gotta love those lyrics :)

snakedog, i love the awesome lyrics on your version!
i'd really love to sing on this one but i have a hard time coming up with melodies on the spot. :o

HAHAHAAAAYESSSS!!! Snakedog, that was just too damn cool for words. And congratulations...I believe that you're the first person to ever run an entire song through a flanger!

Talk about unexpected... :D

WOOF.

Hey, give it a shot anyways. Here's a possible starting point: During the chorus, just try mimicking (mimicing? mimmicking? mmmiickkihngmnning? whatthefuckever...) the big wah guitar line that occurs right before the steady palm mutes. When we were originally doing the lyrics, we were going to just let that part play and then come in with the vocals, which were pretty much the same notes as the guitar melody.

Or...you could try the Snakedog route and sing each note as an H#. ;)

If it's any clue, that is my actual voice I'm singing with there, NO plugins ;)

Haha, well thanks guys. Glad you enjoyed my weirdness and Alien Dog. Purge, you caught me on the flanger... I figured my vocals were weird enough, I better make the track weird to go with it. It was funny, no matter how much I yelled or sang with the song, it all came out of the speaker the same with the NO plugins.

Now if this isn't one of the saddest statements you'll read: I actually think those are some my better lyrics :p :D

Rami...Sweet. That's a great job. Nice lyrics. Great singing as always. You did the tune justice.

Snake...That's just too cool. I think we are going to have to take away some of your effects....You seem to have started to assimilate into some sort of alen....Cool...

I'm not sure I want to try this thing now. I just started doing it with the original lyrics, and haven't put much thought into doing anything else yet.... :(

I might have to give this a try. Warning: I don't have a good voice.

It's certainly not lead singer-able... even though I sing lead half the time in my band...

HAHA! Snakedog, you kill me man...That's too cool. QUite the imagination, makes me sound like "Mr. Conventional"...And SIATZU is right. Now that he mentions it, mine does sound like "Eye of the Tiger"....that's not a good thing.

The funny thing is, folks, Snakedog is such an Alien FreakDog that there are actually NO effects on his voice at all here. That's how he sounds.

no, it's a great thing... it means that I'm not going insane. I'm pretty sure that hearing eye of the tiger in non-eye of the tiger songs is the first sign of clinical insanity.

I'm fighting a cold so my voice is pretty weak. I just did 1 take each for the 3 parts so there are a few sour notes.

Here are the lyrics

My Puzzled Soul

pulled in two directions
torn by my beliefs
worn by indecision
sins often my relief
a fine line seems to separate
my blasphemy from praise
this emptiness consumes me
with it's demonic gaze

my reflection
in the mirror
two faces
become clearer
am I one
am I neither
am I a sinner
or just a believer
searching for pieces
of my puzzled soul

my struggle is internal
a war of truth and lies
confusion tries to comfort me
like evil in disguise
clawing at forgiveness
I never get a grip
so close that I can taste it
then I begin to slip

feeling my way
through all the rocks and the smoke
then all at once
I spot a glimmer of hope
the light consumes me
with it's eternal glow
seems so familiar
as it welcomes me home

ocnor and insightsound--thanks for putting up some stuff! I'm at work right now, so I'll definitely check them out when I get home.

ok, i've only listened to rami's so far so if it sounds like that then i'll plead guilty.. any others would be a coincidence.. hahaha. I'm not happy with my "verse" voice but whatever, it's not the style i usually sing.

enjoy.
