Anyone tried an MXL 604 yet?

There have been a few references here about MXL's 604 mic. I'm wondering if anyone has tried one or a pair yet. It would be nice to get some feedback about it as I've been holding back a purchace till I get some sense of it.

While I'm at this I'd like to thank everyone who posts here. Reading all your comments is fun and helps with my impressions of what's going on home studios these days.

I have one just haven't used it yet. Here is a link that another member posted to a recording or two with the 604 being used. The second recording is with just a 604 for voice and guitar.

Thank both of you for responding. Harvey, your offer is
very kind! I can hear from the clip SSR referenced that
the 604s should work. I've been adding recordings of
the musical instruments I make and post on eBay. My
little 1970's studio has a very cold sound and other
problems. Thank you both again, very much.

Hey Joel,

I think the best feature of this forum is that we're not being
set upon with an excessive amount of ads and commercialism.
Trying to stay in line with that..... I make mountain dulcimers
and very-small guitars. The sound files allow people to hear
before they bid. I don't post too often.
