I've got to get a solid pair of small studio monitors. Probably looking to spend between $200-$300 bones. Can anyone suggest anything?

For that price, I assume you mean passive monitors (ie, no built-in amp) -- I suggest the Yorkville YSM-1i...........

I found a place that will sell them for $109 per speaker. Is that a good deal?

The Yorkvilles will do a good job. Blue Bear is right on. There are many other monitors that are better; you, know, that's the whole cycle of gear; there is always something that is "better."

But, I love my Yorkies; they blow away my Infinity speakers which are fine for commercial listening; but, the Yorks give me a clear photo of what I am mixing.

For the $$, you can't go wrong with the Yorkvilles.
