Any issues with XP Service Pack 2?

I haven't installed SP2 yet - using ntracks 3.3 - any issues with SP2? I've heard some horror stories.... also, any comment on the advantage of upgrading to 4.0?

So far it's been really stable. But I've never had a problem with XP period. I've heard of problems with crashing and stuff like that, but I've never had a problem. And most of the people who were reporting skipping, crashing or freezing with XP was due to not having enough RAM to run their software.
XP is a good OS..... IMHO...

My wifes machine with win98 on it locks ALL the damned time.

If a screensaver kicks on at the wrong time (like earlier tonight) it'll throw you the B.S.O.D.

I used to swear by 98, then I realized how trouble free XP has been.
Even with SP2...

I still have a pc in storage with 98 on it. Of course I would never use it for recording. It came with windows 95! And it's got a HUGE 2 gig harddrive . It used to lock up on me about once a week, usually when the wife was home and I was surfing porn, and usually right when she was walking into the room to catch me!

Ah, those were the days... dial up modems, with the new 56k, damn that thing was fast.... Windows 98? When will they stop all this upgrade stuff.... What's this Y2K hype about anyway?

Don't get me started. I can't answer your question about how N-tracks works with SP2, but I can tell you how much hell SP2 itself caused me.

I had so much fuking trouble with it that I that I eventually had to uninstall it and go back to SP1. I was on the phone with Dell and emailing Microsoft tech people directly. Here's the fun part: Dell said don't use SP2. Microsoft said use it (duh! it's their program!). So then I started to put pressure on the Microsoft techie to fess up about how fuked up SP2 really is.

[Yes, I had even reformatted my entire hard drive, and it still caused a crash after reinstalling. Yes, I loaded it an Clean Machine. It still crashed.]

The Microsoft Techie just refused to admit that it was goofy. Finally he/she admitted that there might be a problem with some Dell machines. Then he/she gave me a long, long list of instructions for how to cancel the SP2 update process.

So now I download updates, but I carefully AVOID SP2 Like the Plague. This caused me about 4 days of lost income as well as lost data.

FUCK MICROSOFT. FUCK BILLY GATES.

2.4 pentium, 768ram, XPhome.

I'm sorry to hear about all that shit. I guess I should count my lucky stars that I have never had problems like that. Most of the issues that I had were with my old pc and not having a good processor or enough RAM. So far so good with my new one... knock on wood....
