i think he was asking to "trade" his beats for a mic. although someone should tell him that most people on here uses mic that require a preamp, if he's using a computer mic (as he stated) then he might not have a preamp. Also the E835 is ~ the price of the Shure SM57 or SM58, about 70-100. it's a good mic though, my friend's dad who's a musician has a couple, i borrow them and they sounded better than my SM58.

I would suggest him get a cheap usb computer mic instead, those are probably best for people on budget, no need for sound cards/amp, just plug n go. the cheapest one is the samson C01, i think that's around 70 on amazon, it's a condenser so it should pick up pretty good, comes with a tripod mic stand i believe.

In addition to being "crazy hot," are the beats also phat, fly, dope, or tha shiggity?

Send me the beatz first and then we'll talk about the mic...

And be aware, I must have my beatz crazy hot or it's no deal.

Dude, all you need to do is just stack yo paper for a while until your able to afford something good. Trust me. You'll avoid alot of buying! For right now, check ebay for some condenser mics and see what they got. If nothing decent is for sale, get you an sm58 or something for right now. Save up for something atleast in the $200-$400 range. For $300, the shure ksm27 will give the exact sound you want for hip hop vocals. Also, make sure you do alot of research on stacking your vocals and mixing. That will go along way. I made some great(content wise:D) recordings back in the day with a $20 radioshack mic, acid pro, fruity loops, and a yamaha keyboard. If you got talent, people will still like your songs. If you can make a decent sounding mix with cheap equipment, you'll appreciate the expensive alot more when you get it homie! Keep makin music. God Bless.

That would be funny! I know your jokin, but isn't that small diaphram mic? Never recorded vocals with that before. Wonder how it sounds?

I've recorded vocals with the MXL 663, a small-diameter condenser, and it sounds fine - I mean, if it's what you've got, use it!

True! It's all about getting the best sound out of what you have and then moving up!

Begging....oh man. Look, if you don't have the nuts to work and scrimp you aint gonna be able to use the mic once you get it anyhow. I have two or three mics I could send out now, I have done it before to friends, but you aren't going to become that big time produca beggin bud. Just use what you got and save your allowance till you can afford something better.

You gots to have skillz yo.
