I don't know how much those ones you're talking about cost, but I've tried them both, and far preferred the one I ended up buying; the Empress Tremolo.

Has tap, accents on different beats (including 5 and 7 beat rhythms.. pretty interesting). It has a ramp (leslie simulator), different waveform selectors..

What I would like, is a trem that has an accurate way of setting the timing, preferably in bpm, something like an 3 digit LED display.

Old post, but Ausrock... I would bet you could post that request on the BYOC site and someone would post a mod to that pedal... it already has one light that pulses in rhythm with the effect... should be easy to do two more in timed sequence.

I think what would be needed is some form of pulse counter circuit that could be set to give a 3 digit read out calibrated to beats/pulses per minute.

I may not understand what you are asking for... assume I am an idiot (not too far off) and explain it to me again.

Are you talking like X.XX digital number read out where you dial in the time based on a number?

Yeah, that's pretty much the idea.........if the display could show "pulses per minute", it then allows you to dial in the trem to match the song tempo........assuming of course that one actually knows the tempo .
