Any good free anti-virus software?

online, always up to date... and very efficient at cleaning whatever it finds.

Just my 2 cents, have used it on more than one tech call.

I've tried AVG in the past but I find avast! 4 Home Edition to be excellent and yes, it's FREEware. :)

I allow it to auto update the app and definitions. The def updates happen almost weekly and the app seems to be updated once a month or so.

avast! doesn't hog my resources nor has it crashed yet. I'm running Win 2K Pro.
