Seems like every one I've tried basically sounds like crap, including waves, and I like most of their stuff.

Any suggestions?

There are some in the Sonic Foundry set, which I have, but to date I have not tried them.

Yea, unfortunately, those kinda' suck, too.

Maybe it's time for Chessrock to shell out some dough on some outboard effects.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah in my case I only use flangeing / chorus on guitar tracks, and I prefer to use a effect box (Alesis Nanoverb) on the original live guitar track. While it is more flexable to keep the initial recorded signal clean I like to hear the effect as I am playing it, so I can adjust the speed of the "sweep" to match the tune I am playing. Eventually I will just start recording both clean and modified tracks at the same time.

DSP/FX (www.dspfx.com) used to have a nice Chorus plug. They have a Flange too, but I rarely used it, so I couldn't tell you how good it is. I haven't used their stuff in years. The software reactivation crap got to me, so I dropped it.
